Both builds nice. I like the Premium Plus package. On Miami Blue I assume you're doing the painted Porsche logo, either body color or black. Also like the 2nd interior, something other than all black. The black headlights might work well.

Sorry to the above posters but I’ve been busy with work travel. It’s all day and entertaining in the evening,. I am now sitting in the plane about to head back.

I am not sure about the sport mirrors. This is a lease and so thinking about not making this a “kitchen sink car”. I’ll just be buying this stuff for somebody else. It’s the same for the Burmester - it alone adds $100/month on the lease over the Bose so I am just paying for all of it. In fact, anything over 112,000 I pay for in its entirety over the 36 month lease. I wont know what I am doing until November and my thoughts could change on it, but those things arent quite as important to me. I rarely have the music tuned in, and if lucky, I drive it 2-3 times a month. However, I do take it on long trips. I might also buy this one at the end of the lease.

My build will be in November so that I can check out the 992 in finished form. If I do the 991.2, it will be one of the last ones produced. If I skip the 991.2 build, I will have one of the first 992’s. It’s all up in the air but leaning toward the 991.2 heavily at this point.

My thinking is that at this point anybody contemplating a future 991.2 order (as in, not a submitted order) will end up waiting for a 992 instead. We will see it at the end of November, with a bunch of leaks and teasers leading up to it. Leave it up to the Porsche marketing machine to get you completely psyched about it. There will be that one "candy" feature that didn't exist before but now you won't be able to live without. Like that transformer wing on the Panamera. I don't know what it will be but it's going to get people hooked on the new model.

Not sure. I am an analog kind of guy but I am willing to wait to see what the offering will be. I am not "totally psyched" about the 992. In fact, from what's been gleaned I am fairy disinterested. I have been trashing the design on the 992 board, so I'll have to eat a lot of crow in order to go that route. Having said that, I'd like to keep an open mind since this is a big spend.

We missed you on Saturday! After rescheduling twice due to the rain and changing venues, the weather was finally great!

I wanted to be there, but was in Ballagio on Lake Como, Italy. It was a beautiful day there as well.

Wider shot. Lot of cool cars there, especially the 356s. But you still win - Lake Como sounds awesome!!!
