Default Need replacement emergency key

Hello all...looking for some advice. I bought a 991.1 GT3 RS. The car came with two key fobs but seller told me GT3's don't come with two complete key sets; I didn't buy that BS but what can I do?

In all my years I have never lost a key and somehow I misplaced the emergency key in the back of the only complete key fob I had so now I have two functioning key fobs but ZERO emergency keys.

I do have the part number for the 991 emergency key --> 958 538 916 00

I need to know what the best course of action should be in getting TWO new emergency keys cut.

Will a dealer with a key cutter be able to make an emergency key with only the VIN?

Can I order a key already cut if I supply the VIN?

Congrats on the GT3 RS! Give your local dealer a call, they can help.

Contact these guys and see if they can help. Problem is, they need of photo of the key, but you can't find the key. Maybe they can do it with a VIN number. I am pretty sure another RLer used them and was happy with them. Worth a shot.

Dealer said they need current registration, driver's license and VIN then Porsche sends cut keys. No idea on price.

Just ordered a spare key fob, and key blank from Suncoast. A little different config that your key but they are the least expensive, unless, your dealer with match - some dealers do. You will need to present your drivers license and vehicle registration at the dealer when you have the new key programmed. Do your homework on the key; at dealer retail vs Suncoast, you will spend spend much more.

But you'll probably get a free subscription to Christophorous so it might be worth it.

Most Porsche dealers will not program a key you did not buy directly from them. Check with your dealer before you order from Suncoast or other out-of-area dealer.

X2 my dealer wants the business I've been giving Suncoast apparently. Telling me they will only install OEM parts purchased from their parts department moving forward...

I recently somehow lost the back of my second key along with the battery and metal auxiliary key the key body is intact and works fine as I’ve checked it with the main key parts. Is there any possibly of buying just the missing parts ie key back and blank auxiliary metal key ?
