I would generally lean the same way although I don't care for the RS Spyder wheels. I like the bigger discount. As equipped, they should perform similar from a chassis standpoint and the s has more power plus PCCB's.

If you like the T you should like the S as well. Maybe a touch more lag from the larger turbos but a good bump in power.

The T is a cool car, but it's not some super lightweight special. You either want it or you don't.

Plusses for the T is that the S appears to only have 1.5 years of warranty left. Plus the T has 18 way seats vs the 4 way in the S

Loved the S with manual but still ordered the T with manual.

T is a bit unique and special model. There will always be an S in every generation but there have only been 2 Ts so far.

even Porsche considers the T as a special model, I tried to do some customization via Exclusive manufaktur CXX but Porsche Germany refused to do the simplist of things and recommended I buy the part afterwards. This can done with any model but not the T.

I'd choose an S with the Sport Package with 3.0 S PowerKit, SPASM and RAS and PDCC. An S with X51 PowerKit is much more rare than the T, and much more desirable, with better future resale value. Owning 10 Porsche models over the past 48 years has taught me that faster and rarer Porsche models with more performance options are always more desirable for future resale. Look at the 991.1 S with X51 PowerKit, and you will see they are more sought after and command higher prices, and sell more quickly. While at it, I also prefer the Leather Interior and Premium Package Plus. They also appeal to a wider audience when selling.

If youre gonna track a little, get the S with the pccb. You will squeeze the extra ponies and get the best use of the brakes. If not, get the T... both of these are similar on the street. If they were the same price and the S was pdk, thats a different question

Not sure of the current terminology, but the S appears to have the premium package with the seats which can add up to six options such as heated seats, ventilated seats, auto-dimming mirrors, entry& drive (key in pocket) and a few other items. All nice options to have if you re going to live with the car for some time.

I would say S too. The build is very nice. PCCB are rare and great to have. I even have them on my Macan. Good luck with your decision making.

And, do not forget the Carrera S can be upgraded to full GTS power at any time with the X51 PowerKit. With the X51 PowerKit sale prices currently offered, i showed my local Porsche dealer Svc Mgr the best prices i could find, and he was able to match those prices. Bingo! Done deal!
Then i sold my S take - off turbos with less than 1500 miles for $3200. Bingo! The net cost to upgrade my engine and rear brake cooling from S to GTS was $3800 plus tax.
Im just guessing the guy who bought my S take-off turbochargers is upgrading a T or Base, with 'tuner' software.
But my X51 PowerKit upgrade is fully included in my 4 year new Porsche warranty and it's eligible for CPO in the future, if i trade it. For me, that's a win - win!! 😎

I'd personally get the S vs the T. S is a very cool build with the sport package and PCCB's. BUT, the T has a lot going for it.

Carrera T: Has 18-way seats with heating (but no cooling) and memory. Important if your wife/significant other will be driving the car. Also has Sport-Tex seats. You'll need to be sure you like the material. Has "lane change assist" and "entry-and-drive". Some care about those 2 options, I personally don't have them and don't need them. Over 2 years newer means longer warranty depending on when warranties were punched on the respective cars. Neither car is listed as CPO so you'd only have the standard 4 year warranty. Maybe you could negotiate that into the purchase. I certainly would.
I haven't driven a T so I can't comment on driving characteristics vs the S.

Carrera S: More power and upgradable with factory power kit. 4-way sport plus seats with no heating/cooling. Basically the same seats as the 18-way but lighter weight and less adjustable. I have the 4-way sport seats plus and love them. No seat memory. PCCB is a rare option on an S and an upgrade over the stock brakes. I have the S with power kit and it's a rocket. Much faster than my 991.1 S

I agree with that statement 100%. As for the power kits for the S, you can do the same thing with the T by getting a set of S turbos or GTS turbos and then COOB tune. Yes you will most likely loose your warrenty but have a really nice T.

30 months! Hard to believe there could e that much spread between a 17 and an 18.
