I've seen this questions several times before. I live in Houston, with plenty of sunshine and heat. LOTS of it. But even then, I rather leave the glass without tint as it looks incredible being so clear and unobstructed by defroster lines. Even those days with 100+ degrees I've never felt the interior hot, or the need for tint. YMMV.

The yellow car does not have window tint. The white car definitely does. I am sure it can be done. I think the real question is 1. what shops have the experience and skill to do it on the light weight glass. 2. What technique did they use to do it as to not overheat the glass or the surrounding trim.

Guys, I would not be so quick as to say those cars have tint. You can order Privacy Glass with the T (as with other 911's) from the factory, which replaces the LWG. I would almost guarantee you that those cars have the factory Privacy Glass and not a third party tint.

I think you could tint the side windows easy enough without the use of a heat gun. The installer mainly uses heat to make the tint fit curves in the glass. The sides are pretty flat. It would be the back window that would be a challenge.

Let me provide the answer for everyone here. I hesitant for the longest time but because of the sun here in California and no straight answer. I decided to be one of the first few genuine pig to try. At last, no issues with the process and the tint adhere to the glass.
However, according to my tinter who's very experience and have experience tinting special glasses says it's still a delicate process that must be handle with care. Definitely should not allow the heat gun to be heating at 1 area over a long period of time and especially around the trims.

Privacy glass? Is that a CXX option? I have a Targa on order and that would be great for the rear window.

FYI - I had 70% Ceramic 2-ply tint installed on all glass in my C2S, and most people don't and/or can't see that is tinted. But it sure does knock down the heat and most of the glare...
And it protects/preserves the plastics and leather inside.
