So regarding this T I'm looking at, I'll be speaking with the dealer in the next couple weeks and see where we're at and if we can put a deal together.

Thanks again
You may want to start the process sooner than later since these are selling well.

I did not get the rear steering on my T, don’t notice it as to don’t know what to don’t know! My sales advisor recommended me to save my money as I don’t track the car and will never really notice the difference

They'll make more...There are quite a few available both in 2018's and 19's

The choice is yours but if you are picky about options you may as well order and if so, sooner than later is best since they are not going to make that many more based on allocations.

Xenons are lighter, have slightly better high beams than LED (albeit not as good on regular beams), and personally I think they look better.

I opted for the bi-xenons over the LEDs. The bi-xenons were plenty bright enough for me (I had them on my previous two 991S's) and it was money I would rather put elsewhere in the car.

RAS is fantastic.

Ughh.....You couldn't give me a PDK..I just don't get it. I understand they are faster than we could possibly ever shift and thats just it, I want to shift.

In what ways do you feel RAS is fantastic? im about to order my T and I’m stuck on RAS. I don’t track so it won’t be to shave off lap time. From what I read, the appeal to me is car being more nimble, feeling shorter wheel base. Downside is what BlackOptics mentioned; I want to avoid complexity or potential issues. Btw I’m also in NoVA.

If you have a chance to drive with RAS you will understand why so many of us like it, and if you drive one with it and one without right after each other I think you will feel it is worth the price. I was amazed at how it made the car feel when turning, changing lanes, etc. and I ordered it my soon to arrive Targa GTS.

So a GTS without those options will be slower round there than a 997.2 S? I don't think it would personally. Great time regardless but attributing 30 seconds down to those 2 features alone doesn't add up.

Got anything to back that up? The weight I mean. Would really like to see the data, not that I care one way or the other, but as I posted earlier, this seems counterintuitive.

Someone on the GT board has posted the weights. Base xenons, then PDLS, then LED. I think the motors for the PDLS are the biggest weight add but what do I know.

It is also why non-PDLS xenons are stock on GT cars and why the LEDs are a free option on the GT2RS.

Cool, thanks! Found the thread. Seems that the consensus (of 1 or 2 people) is probably about 10-12lbs and that's going from non-PDLS to LED. Regardless, I'm not going to argue whether 10lbs is much in the scheme of things, but then again I ordered 18-way seats. Of course, I got PCCBs too, so those save 40lbs and I'll stick with the brighter LEDs Bottom line, you can't go wrong with either.
