911T Break-in oil report (manual)
Ok. First 1250 miles, here is the blackstone report with their comments (I expunged my personal data). Came up with my own break in protocol according to several folks recommendations. Here are the general rules which I used since 8 miles on the clock.
1. Drive like a grandma under 3k rpm until oil is at 180F.
2. >180F Drive it normally without redlining it in 1st or 2nd gear (max I did was 6500 rpm after warm)
3. No lugging engine with high rpm or high boost in too high of a gear. Varied RPM constantly so lots of shifting even on highway.
4. No idling.. especially when cold.
Clearly the break in procedure is overkill as described in the manual. This libearalized my breakin RPM to 6500 and made it much easier to keep from redlining and launches for 2000 miles. But guess who has 2 thumbs and is over 2000 miles??? THIS GUY
Of course every car is unique and YMMV. Please dont blame this oil report for a lousy one following the same procedure, Im just a regular dude.

Interesting. When I did mine in spring 2014 with 1,286 miles, here are the key comps:
Alum 10 (you have 8)
Iron 9 (6)
Copper 7 (9)
Phosphorus 812 (814)
Zinc 917 (898)
*SUS at 210 degrees 66.8 (64.6)
*cSt at 100C 12.10 (11.49)
*see how low these values are....at the bottom of the range.....this is the 'classic' Mobil 0W40 shearing effect....and why I use Mobil 5W50
Thanks for sharing. Keep doing them. Buy kits in bulk of 6 and save about $5/kit. FYI.
