Default Help! Miami Blue 991 in VA/MD Area (or Orlando)

I've been reading the posts on Miami Blue, and a lot of posters encourage those considering the color to make sure to see it on a car. It's so rare that I have not seen the color yet, so before I place an order, I am hoping to find a 991 in the VA/MD area painted in Miami Blue. My dealership has only sold one, but maybe by chance somebody nearby has one and will read this post. Can you please contact me about a possible meet-up?

Also, I'll be in Orlando on 20 September if anybody there has one for me to look at.

Thanks kindly.

I assume you checked the dealers in your area to see if they have one in stock? You can do the same when you come to FL - Melbourne Porsche has 2 right now but they may be gone when you come down. There are 2 dealers in Tampa as well as the 1 in Orlando so odds are a dealer will have one when you come down since Miami Blue is popular down here. Also, you can see if there are any used ones in your area by looking on Autotrader, etc.

I know this probably won't be much help to you but I wanted to share my thoughts. I will say that for me I couldn't make my mind up about MB after seeing it the first couple times. Actually the first time I saw it was on a GT3 in a dealer's showroom. Something about the way the car was spec'd seemed weird to me. It had silver wheels, red calipers, carbon fiber mirror and black door handle. I wanted to like MB then, but I couldn't. Then after seeing it a few more times both in sunlight and under overcast skies, I fell in love with it. I ordered my GT3 in MB (I went from Chalk, to Guards Red, to GT Silver). My 991.2 GTS was GT silver which is such a fantastic color, but I really wanted something more exciting for my GT3. Some that would set it apart from the crowd. I believe that MB does this.

I forgot to mention that my MB Targa GTS is expected to arrive in November albeit it may be too late to help you. If it gets here early you are welcome to see it, which is being delivered to Reeves in Tampa.

Yep, good advice and I did all that. I'll check the dealer websites before I come down, thanks!

Thanks much. Here's a blue car below that I had years ago, so I am no stranger to it. In fact, I sold it and bought another exactly the same. I just think it would be a good idea to see the shade of blue before I order the car.

My Mariner Blue Miata from years ago...

PCA Potomac has the "Gathering of the Faithful - Escape to Bavaria" Concours this weekend - I will look to see if there are any Miami Blue cars there.

It is one of those colors that you either love of hate.
