Special colors
Did a search and didn’t see much on this so apologies if it’s been addressed as I suspect it must have been.
im waiting on delivery of GTS and have selected chalk as my color. My question is what makes these colors like chalk “special”?
is it just “special” because Porsche says so and it’s expensive or is there something more to those particular colors, ie more coats, more durable etc?

I think that just means Porsche has called them new or special and made them available as options for this build era. Some, including chalk I think, may be first time colors. Contrast with classic colors like Guards Red that are continuously available as options.

"Special" colors are not special at all, just different.
Remember having conversations back when GT Silver was "special" as most thought it was some rare/special process color compared to other "lower" level silvers and were willing to pay more for it because of it.
Now its just a normal metallic.
My Carmine Red GTS is a "special" color, but I paid the up charge not because it is special, but because it is the best color out there
