Default Aligning Crests to Valvestems.

I’ve always been a stickler for having my crests properly aligned on my wheels- but the new factory crests rotate when you drive - so when they are aligned they stay that way until the first time you drive. Suggestions?

Maybe try a little piece of painters tape on the lip of the center bore.

On my new C2S Endurance Racing Edition, all the center caps are perfectly aligned towards the valve stems.
Is this typical of all new Porsches out of Stuttgart and other Porsche models' plants, or is it because mine also went thru the Porsche Exclusive Manufktur line at Weissach?
I never noticed this before, and am curious...

when I picked my car up at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta they were properly aligned too. Didn’t stay that way. The new ones are plastic. The old ones on my Fuchs were aluminum.

My Porsche came with a self-aligning center cap that mates to a special valve stem called a Fetzer Valve. You have to prepare it with 3-in-1 oil and gauze pads to work properly... It’s not available on the configurator, you have to ask you SA about it and he sends a request back to Stuttgart and, if accepted, it is shipped to a Porsche black site with your vehicle for installation, which is why I can’t share a picture of it. Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.

Cars are delivered to the dealer with caps NOT installed. As it's a Porsche tradition, the dealers generally position them properly.

Not only that, when I picked up my car at PEC the techs brought a floor jack to a Panamera on display in the hallway, jacked up each corner, and rotated the wheel so the center car was upright. Now that's what you should do at home every night.

I'm a stickler for that too. 3 of mine will keep position and 1 keeps spinning. I think i'm going to try blu-tac or similar.

I made a removal tool out of a length or wire hanger & wrapped tape around the prongs of the center cap b4 pushing back into the wheel, no more movement.
