PDK Failure Code P0731
Today, my beautiful 2014 991 C2S had a PDK failure alert on my dash.
I was driving fine, no issues. But, when I put the car into reverse, I got the error.
My car only has 51,000 miles and my warranty had just expired.
The Porsche Irvine dealer (A new dealer in SoCal) said the error code is P0731.
Does anyone know what this could mean?
I don't race my cars and I drive like an old man, so I can't believe a PDK transmission would die this fast.
Any ideas would be helpful.

Race Car
You took it to dealer but they didn’t offer any more info than the code number?

More information about my issue.
The PDK warning on the dash says no reverse available. Also, I can only shift using the 2, 4, and 6th gears.
If the car is off for a while, the error clears, but comes back.
Porsche Irvine will review this more when they open on Monday.
I'll let everyone know how this goes when I get more information from the dealer.
I'm hoping it's dirty or low transmission oil. Or, maybe they need to recalibrate the PDK systems itself.
If anyone has also had this problem, I'd love to know how your dealer took care of it.

Best of luck. Hoping you find it it’s just a sw issue.
