Light Design Package
Hi all,
I just picked up my car with the light design package. I looked in the manual and also did a search but cannot find anything about it. Can anyone explain how to adjust it? Does it adjust separately from the instrument cluster?
Thanks,
Eric

I think what you want is this. The light design package adds some interior lighting and adjustments control how bright or dim you want to set it. There is no separate Light Design Package setting as far as I know. Hope this helps.

^^^ Yep, I'm afraid that's about it. It largely replaces lights that would have been old-fashioned bulbs with LEDs, but it also allows the cabin accent lights to stay on subtly during driving.
Even my Ford F150 pickup truck's LED light package allows you to change colors.
It's kind of lame on the 911. By now those should all be LEDs anyway.

I like it a lot. You can make a few adjustments from the Screen on the right of the instrument cluster. Go to Vehicle - settings - lighting with the lower right steering wheel stalk

Are they just white? I can make changes until 9/7.

They are your fairly typical LED cool white. There is a hint of bluishness so there's no confusing them with warmer filament bulbs nor the more recent LEDs with warmer color temperatures.
I personally prefer them over the standard lights; that look has gotten to be out of place in a modern high-end car. They should be standard. It's just silly for them to charge that much for them in a 2017+ car... but that's the Porsche tax I guess.

Thanks. I can get the light package and entry option for $990 as part of a package, which is not a lot of money but if I will not use or appreciate them it will not be worth it.

Agree. It does not even light up the rear passenger footwells (which costs extra!). For 500$, I wish I'd passed

I'm currently driving a loaner Macan and I keep forgetting to take the key out of my pocket before I sit down. I have the dig it back of my pocket after sitting down 90% of the time. I guess I'm just a spoiled creature of habit. It's standard on so many cars today.
