I have been noticing this noise for ever since I got this car 2 years ago. It only happens during cold engine, within 5 to 10 mins after cold start normally at an incline slope turning left... When it happens the car feels a bit jerky. I have taken it to porsche to check it up many times, but they just couldnt find out what it is. They said they have even sent the video and sound clip to Germany but without any solution back.

Grateful if there is anyone who may know what this is all about.. thanks in advance

that doesnt sound like a transmission....more like suspension or brakes

btw ya from HK? looks like you live somewhere on the "island" :-)

Thanks for your reply vodkag. Thats correct, I live on the island of HK. Looks like you are familiar with the place too?! Such noise is always a no no to garages. I have a BMW with other noise under the bonnet which was actually being fixed by DIY...

I dig that color you have, is it vinyl? (i dont recall seeing that color unless is an exclusive color)

I was born there, but been living in Cali for the past 30 years, still got family in HK, and would visit occasionally :-)


That's my 991.1S. Got a set of clear taillights on the way. Also want to black out the badges, maybe this weekend if I have time :-)
