Pretty shocked to hear two compliments today for the PSE on the 991.2 Carrera 4 GTS today. Obviously, it's not as loud as the Gen. 1 cars. So, I was quite
surprised to have two different people tell me how great the exhaust sounds and that they thought it was loud.

Maybe we don't give the PSE on the 991.2 enough credit.

That said, I am in the process of ordering high-flow cats and headers

I'm thinking about the same thing in the not too distant future on my C2S with X51 Power Kit.
Please keep us updated on your exhaust upgrade. I'd love to hear one sometime.. Maybe you could do a sound recording before and after.

I've gotten them too.....but it is from folks who have never driven the .1. I like both exhausts notes but they are certainly different. The low end torque makes up for it.

The 991.2 GTS Sports exhaust is surprisingly loud, deep and burbly.
Then....with fairly simple exhaust mods it surpasses 991.1 levels IMO.

Last week, I drove 10 hours in my GTS to pick up the new GT3 (both 991.2).
The GT3 is quiet in comparison at startup and normal driving (<4000 rpms).
My wife loves that the GT3 is quieter! She hated how loud and obnoxious the 991.2 GTS was.
Me, not so much. I miss the sound and never thought I would have said that post GT3.
Granted....I'm still in the break in period so not getting to enjoy the 9k just yet

Well, I have a feeling that your GT3 will be screaming in no time!

Looking forward for your comparison later on as soon as GT3 can rev up to 9.000 rpm.

What headers are you going to go with? In the review of the Vektor Performance headers, it was noted the exhaust and intake noises were altered. The stock headers appear to be made from double wall SS, so that probably muffles the sound a bit. With the Vektor headers being equal length vs. the stock log-type manifold, I'd guess the exhaust noise would become much more even.
