Please pm me pricing on the cables! Already have your shifter and love it. Sent an email to sales last week but never heard back. Thanks

Any thoughts on how the cables might compliment the Function First transmission mount insert?

http://www.function-first.com/produc...s-mount-insert

Also, can you describe specifically how the cables improve the feel beyond doing just the shifter?

Default Just had the Numeric Short Shifter installed - WOW!

So far, the best mod I've done! The sloppiness of the stock shifter really bothered me. Now, it's "Click, Click, Click" - very nice!

I, too, would like to know what your cables "add" to the mix - as I didn't have them installed. Please PM me with a price for the cables, as well as
what they bring to the table.

Thanks!

Does this kit lower the height of the shifter like the OEM GT4 shifter compared to the stock 991? I actually prefer the higher shifter position of my 991.

The answer to your question id no. The spring will always center the shifter in the 3/4 gear position. you don't have to find the position. Let it center itself. The amount of travel I changed it by is 12.5mm total so it is really not significant enough to make you not be able to find 3 5 & 7 or any other gear. I have tracked my car several times and anyone that has knows they might generally shift harder or faster just from being excited. I have never missed a **** and neither have my customers or I would of heard about it. When people don't particularly like something you will most certainly here about it. I haven't had any complaints about the shifter and cables. Only positives from customers I followed up with.

Anytime you start stiffening your car with more rigid parts like trans and engine mounts, shifter and cables you will feel more connected to your car. I can feel every movement the chassis makes. Your car won't feel like your cruising in a cadillac anymore. Downside is the more you make your car race car like, the noisier it ill be. I prefer to feel like i am part of the car and not just going for a ride in it. So my ride is noisier than a 747 taking off. LOL.

The cables are so much more rigid and stronger and utilizes metal rod ends rather than plastic connections. Stock cables are no where even close to being a solid. I can literally snap the stock cable in half and there is a video floating around of me snapping them it. You can not snap the numeric cables. I also use 27mm lock nuts to tighten them in the brackets where the stock are plastic and slide into to the brackets. Here is the video link of me snapping the stock cable.

I also sent you a PM message.

You would have to send it back to me. These are hand built and have very close tolerances. If you send it back I will most likely build you a new one and I can discount and resell yours if its not damaged. Which I am sure it isn't.

hsmith. Numerics shifter lever will be 7.5mm taller than the GT4 and can adjust up to 28mm taller than the GT4 sport shifter. Compared to the stock shifter it can be adjusted to 11.5mm lower and up to 9.5mm taller. So the answer to your question is yes it can be raised higher than stock. If you wanted even taller I could make you a custom lever but there would be a charge for making a one off.
