Default Vektor Performance - 991.2 Carrera Performance Headers

Hello Rennlist! We are proud to present our first product for the 991.2 Carrera, our Performance Headers. We strived to create a product providing the best performance, quality, and value. To meet these goals, our Performance Headers are fabricated using the highest quality, USA sourced and certified 321 SS with a unique cast merge. The cast merge creates a geometry for optimum flow for each equal length runner, allows each runner to have the most generous bend radii possible, and also increases strength compared to a fabricated merge. The final product is welded together and ported by our highly skilled fabricators here in the USA. Along with the headers, we provide new gaskets to ensure there are no issues with your installation. We also provide the option of coating the Performance Headers with Swain Tech’s White Lightning Exhaust Coating for those seeking maximum performance.

We know we created the best performing headers for the 991.2 Carrera, but we did not want you to take our word for it. Therefore, we had the team at MotoIQ perform independent testing and analysis. As you will see in their review, our Performance Headers improved on the 3S’s of turbocharged engine performance: spool, speed, and sound. With our Performance Headers installed on a Carrera S and no tune, they observed a 30% reduction in time-to-torque (spool-up), 19whp peak gain, and 11ft-lb peak torque gain. A maximum of 25whp gain was observed at 5800rpm. You will feel the improvement in spool-up on the street in all driving situations and you will feel the power gains when you’re driving hard.

Please follow the link to MotoIQ’s review. We are currently working on our website which should be up in a few weeks, but you can purchase the Performance Headers from our Facebook page at this time.

These look awesome. I love the collector. It looks superior to all others.

How long would it take to get the Swain tech coating? Do you ship internationally?

Could one expect more power when fitted to a GTS ? (Larger Turbo's. )

It typically takes 4 weeks to get the headers coated due to the timely process required to bond the ceramic to the metal. We can ship internationally. And yes, you can typically expect increased gains on higher power applications assuming the turbo itself isn't the limiting factor. All the components in the exhaust stream (headers, cats, exhaust) are flow restrictions. Pressure drop through a flow restriction increases exponentially with mass flow. As the GTS with larger turbos flows 450hp worth of air stock vs. the S with only 420hp, our headers will have an even greater reduction in back pressure compared to the the stock headers in the GTS application which should translate into larger power gains.

Sorry to be a pain. Do I need to have a Stage 1 or Stage 2 Tune for the headers? Or are they ok on the stock car? COBB are taking for ever just to send me an empty box.

991.1 Already comes with factory headers, whereas 991.2 have that old school LOG style. So nice gains for a point 2, but possible minimal on point 1.

I have fabspeed, love em but love the sound of the Kline more.

Might switch to Vektor or Kline later.

Agreed the full Kline system sounds awesome. But I have seen great performance results with Akrapovic and separately with VEKTOR. So I think I will go with Ceramic coated Vektor and Akra Cats. If that's not enough, then add the Akra cans. Its a pain it takes so long. I wanted them before my next big Track event. So I will wait until after it for them. I still don't have the COBB empty box. The COBB AP has been sitting on my desk for weeks now.

i have an inbound ‘19 GTS and was similarly considering Vektor headers and either Akra or Soul cats. While a bump in power would be nice, I’m primarily after improved sound. Would you be able to point me towards any clips of the Akra cats without the slip-on? Thanks!

I saw some pics on there facebook site, and they were 3D designed, So they pretty much take up the same space as the stock log style. So, no reduction in ground clearance.

Has anyone released a dyno showing gains on a gts?
