Its from PIWIS as a source. Either way, shows that there is oil you cant get out in an oil change.

I'm willing to bet money the only reason people obsess over the oil fill amount is they don't follow the Porsche procedure for oil measurement on the MFD. It is clearly defined in the manual, and I've never got an unexpected result following it. I would never add or subtract any oil unless the procedure was followed to the letter. YMMV.

9.4 quarts to full here with a 17 C4S, drained on a lift (level). 8 quarts and I get the 'oil level below minimum' indication on the digital dipstick. 9 Quarts puts it almost halfway, with an additional .4 putting it a hair below max level.

Same here, I’ve done 3 oil changes in mine. I let my car drain level about 45 minutes with oil cap off.

Thanks for posting this chart.
I held back a liter after refill and ended up being almost two liters down when I measured. I thought I measured wrong, but after seeing the chart, I'm now assured that my method simply resulted in draining some of that residual oil.

Just wanted to add my experience from today. 991.2 drained 8.5 qt. / 9L and filled back the same amount. I let it drain while doing the filter up top so I may have only let it drain 30-45 min.
Took a trip to recycle the oil, came home and checked the level. Showed about 90% full at operating temp as shown below. I’ll keep an eye on it though.

Anyone have an idea of how long dealers let it drain? I am sure it varies but what does their procedure call for?
