A/C - Hot & Cold
I generally drive without the air conditioner on as I enjoy the sounds with the windows open. However, on longer rides and highway driving I'll switch on the A/C. Last weekend was one such time. After a few miles. I noticed that the cabin wasn't really cooling down too much. I did the usual fiddling with the temp, max A/C, etc. to no avail. I finally determined that the two zone system didn't appear to be working properly. I was getting cool air on the drivers side but warm air on the passengers side. Anyone experience this? If so, what was the problem? I've set up an appointment with the local dealer for Monday but I would feel better if I had some idea what was going on before taking it in.
OBTW, I'm driving a '18 991.2 with dual zone A/C unit

Had same problem with my 2018 991.2, posted several weeks ago, dealer found refrigerant extremely low , checked for leaks with negative results. They pressure tested then checked entire system again and conducted other checks finding nothing. Recharged system and so far air is working as it should. They also put a dye in the system to help aid in finding a leak if it recurs.

Make sure your 2 zones are synced. You might have one zone (driver's) at 68 and the passenger's set at 80.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll keep these points in mind when I take the car in on Monday.
Lex, I synced both zones as well as trying 80 on the drivers side and 65 on passengers. Didn't help.

I had same issues - warmer on passenger side than driver side - a few weeks ago. Dealer found low refrigerant and a small leak. My issue was also accompanied by hissing sound when the AC was on....dealer indicated that was the sound of the "leak". My car = 2013 C4

I took the car in to the dealer this morning. The service manager called a couple of hours later and said the refrigerant was low by almost half. He wanted to let me know that he feels that Porsche is not properly filling the A/C units at the factory as this is not the first time he's seen this problem. However, there are no notices from Porsche relating to this problem. They pressure tested, evacuated and recharged the A/C system and gave it their OK. The A/C blew COLD after I picked up the car this PM with the outside temp at ~100 degrees!!
And the best part - no charge thank you.
