Inspired by videos like 911%, my youngest and I decided to finally test out making our own video using our new DJI Mavic Air.
It was crazy how easy it was to convert three 20-minute sessions of footage (which includes some time spent horsing around in sport mode) into a short demo. I grabbed some music used in one of Jakob's videos off SoundCloud and then iMovie to stitch it together.
In case anyone's interested, I can't say enough good things about the Mavic Air for this stuff. On top of being tons of fun, some of the features like auto-follow are just insane, and the quality/stability of what you get is shocking at that price.
For sure, having a 911 as the subject of the video, pretty much ensures any footage will be good.
Fun process, totally recommend, and can be a fun family activity too. Hope you guys enjoy.

I have been trying to get some nice shot of my car moving just like in your vid, but have not been as successful as you.
Nice job. Some great shots. You inspired me to give it another go!

Thank you!
Thanks!
Thank you!
Thank you! Soooo happy with it -- it's my favorite car I've ever had, even more than my 997.2 4S. Widebody, 2WD, manual...love it.
Thanks for the feedback everyone!

We (my son) just discovered 'cinematic mode' which i think is the one to use for the smooth video. Also inspired by this to go and try!

He also did my Suntek clear bra on the entire front of the car, pillars, front of the roof, and spoiler as well as behind my rear wheels.
He was 100% right on all counts.

I'm convinced that it's recording in 120 fps that makes the biggest difference. Then in iMovie (or whatever editor) you can select the speed you want each clip to run at. Playing 30 fps at a slower rate will never come out right.
Provides tremendous freedom in making each clip play out exactly the way you hoped it would.

sweet, sounds like a smart way to go.
