CPO 2013 C2S, 6800 miles, 2 owners Opinions please.

I have been looking for a 991.1 for a month or so. I came across this listing this weekend. It is a white C2S with good options including Sport Chrono, PSE and Premium Package.

Low mileage 6800 , clean CarFax, 2 owners first one for a year on a lease.

MSRP $114,000. Asking price $76,500.

Looks like a nice car

Thanks very much.

Not terrible, but As a reference point I bought a ‘13CPO 10/16 with 26k miles, higher original MSRP at $129k and paid $75k.

Great thanks for the data point. What do you think about white?
Did the 2013s have Bluetooth for phone and music? I can't find that listed anywhere in the ad.

Price for that year/miles seems about normal with what I've seen...its actually artificially more expensive due to low miles and I'd keep that in mind. Personal opinion is that its a 5-6 year old car despite the miles and that's a lot of money considering that. I'd prefer a higher mileage car for less (under 60k miles for under 60k cost)...it would the same car just with more wear and tare. Otherwise, nearly 80k makes me thing 'why not buy a new car for 20k more.' There's no 'save money' or 'bargain' when buying a 911. Its going to be expensive no matter how you do it and the question really boils down to 'do you want that specific car.'

2013 was a first model year for the 991 so it might have a few kinks.

Thanks. That is a good way to look at it. I was thinking the same thing, that I could add a little more money and get a new 911.
I appreciate the discussion very much. It really helps me figure out how to think about buying these great cars.

It's a very fair price considering it has a CPO too. You're getting a car that looks super cosmetically from the pics. I would personally pay for lower miles and better cosmetics.

If looking at cars $10K less than this one you're getting a car with ALOT more miles and more beat up.

These cars get beat up a lot. Chips and wear are high in the 50K++ or less mileage ranges.

No "kinks" with 2013's. 991.1's came out in 2012.5 and no "kinks" there either.

vodkag 06-10-2018 11:16 AM

i bought a 2012.5 $117 MSRP CPO for $72.8k with 25k miles

If a 7 speed is what you want, i say go for it, mileage is extremely low which is good.

Depends on your budget. Want to go upstream another $25K for a base 991.2??

What is your ideal budget??

Thanks STG. I appreciate the input very much.
Any thoughts on the white color in terms of resale or desirability?

Ideal budget would be $75-$80 K
$25K more would likely be too much. I always have to watch out for the price creep. Very easy to do with these highly emotional car purchases.

White is super. The all beige interior is a bit of a negative. Black interior would be a bit more of a positive. I think asking price is already slightly reflecting this.

+1 i have seen cars with under 50k miles that's really "beaten up" ie the seats, interior, paint etc etc. even CPO-ed. for under $74k and even a 2014 with 45k miles very well optioned car for around that as well....

Excellent. I have a white on black 964 many years ago. It was nice. Tan interior does produce glare in the windshield. I had that on my 997 that I sold 4 weeks ago, I can deal with it for the right options.
I am in 911 withdrawal at the moment,. I am trying to keep emotions in check when buying but it is hard. You guys are helping me be rational.
Thanks very much.

+991

These cars show their wear easily. I've seen some really bad seat bolsters too with reasonable mileage. Lower car and front end and windshield get blasted too. A previous owner that isn't big on cosmetics and care can really do a number on these cars.

STG 06-10-2018 11:25 AM

This car for what it is and if checks out cosmetically is a nice deal. Try for $75K and you're in business. Get an over rev report too.

The CPO is a huge plus here.
