Anyone know, ballpark, how long brake pads last?

Happy owner of a 2012.5 launch C2S with 71K. Brought it to Porsche Westwood (MA) for brakes, etc. They told me still OK with the rears. The front brakes, with OEM rotors, pads, sensors, etc. cost me less than 1K. They matched online parts pricing. To me, no sense not replacing rotors every 7 or 8 years.

Targa 4S here. I don’t track it but I’m a spirited driver.
I changed my pads at 25k and left the rotors on.
Now at nearly 45k I’m doing pads and rotors both. Not because I need to, but because they are thin enough now that they squeal and it irks me.
ProTip: get your own parts from Suncoast as a brake job is a huuuuuuugely uncharged item at the stealership.

+ or 1, 25,000 miles seems about right to me for pads, rotors should last much longer, I would think, EXCEPT when the car is tracked. I tracked my cars for about 6 track days and found it necessary to change the front rotors at 25,000 miles....I put on 5,000 of these miles in my ownership. I ran Pagid RS 10 pads...really expensive...this may be why the rotors were "toast". By the way, the front and rear pads were also "toast", in the sense that there was not enough pad thickness left to sell them as used. Also note that the RS 19 pads were noisy.
For OEM parts, Suncoast is good: Their center radiator kit is phenomenal. I installed the kit on my 991.1 S and its replacement, my 991.2 Carrera GTS. I use Gaudin Porsche in Las Vegas for OEM Porsche parts.
For "after-market" brake parts, I use Clark from Apex Performance Part out of S. Carolina. chamerly@apexperformance.net How what it's worth, he is a RENNLIST sponsor. Clark stocks a wide variety of brake and other parts. He is my source for GiroDisc, 2 piece, slotted rotors. I have installed the GiroDisc 350mm fronts, with the rears coming soon...with GiroDicc, the rears are also 350mm in dia. Included in the GiroDisc kit for the GTS rear, are the brake caliper studs that allows the wider rotors to be installed without any rubbing issues.

This. My car’s first brake job was done at 92k miles. They were definitely worn, but surprisingly still had some life in them.
Changed the clutch at 93k and that too looked surprisingly well.
The previous owner racked up a lot of straight highway miles.

45K on the original pads/rotors for my 2014 991.1. Included a lot of back road driving and countless near ABS braking on the Autobahn above 150 mph when someone pulls into the left lane on you for about 2.5 years of driving over there. Happened once at 190+ mph and I was on them hard and felt pulsing...stopped in time to avoid nastiness. Can't believe how perfectly straight the car slows at those speeds and never felt spongy. That being said, I am just waiting for the light to come on. Dealer says it's getting close.
