Personally, I'd rather pay full MSRP for a 2018. Make an offer as you feel is fair. If the dealer doesn't negotiate to a point where you and they can't come to agreement, walk away. In the meantime,check out other dealers in what you would consider driving distance! It'll give you a baseline to negotiate from. Truthfully, I started looking for a 2015 TT off lease car, but when I started checking out how well the values on 2015's held up and the extra finance rate on a used compared to a new. I found the new 2018 Targa GTS was only a few thousand more (after discount) and as you can see in my signature, that's what I bought.
