PSE One Year In

I hate PSE and the backfiring sounds. I wouldn’t have wanted it even if was free. My car 18 C4S sounds very nice without all that popping and crackling sounds.
Maybe a controversial topic. Such as MT versus PDK.

I turn on PSE even if I'm just jockeying the cars around in the garage or backing it out to the driveway for a bath.

I don’t think PSE for the 996 models have the popping and cracking sound. Was this new for the 991, or was it there in the 997 as well?

PSE for the 991 is aggressive. More aggressive than the 996 or 997. I had a 997 with PSE and it was nothing like my 991. Most NA Porsches with freer flowing exhausts (aftermarket) crackle on the overrun.

I wish my car sounded like this.
None of the manufactured rthymic backfiring sounds engineered in the PSE that sound especially aggressive in the 991.2.

Didn’t have PSE on my 997.2 Targa. Had to settle for a Fister exhaust. My Number one option on my 991.2 Cab S was PSE. Couldn’t be happier. I put it on as soon as I start her up. Even before putting the top down.

My wife wont even get in my cars unless PSE is engaged....so when we get in spats, that is the only time PSE is off.
