Also, the PIWIS latop can check oil level when the engine is stopped and cold... (WSM 170101).

FWIW, I've checked my e-oil level both ways, oil hot, engine off, ignition on, and level ground and with the engine running. Get the same result.

Absolutely NOT! Most of their technicians have very limited training. I learned the hard way when I was much younger. I took my new to me Jetta GLI to jiffy lube for an oil change and they broke my power steering reservoir. They at least fixed it, but it took a week, and they fixed it incorrectly requiring a dealership run and a battle for the cost - I lost.
