When showing off goes wrong...

So maybe the number of phones and cameras pointing at a car (especially like the one less than a foot from the rear bumper) can over-ride any stability controls, both in the car and driver. Somebody needs to research this.

Dude needs to be taught about lift-off over steer after repeated treatments for testosterone poisoning (which, in all fairness, can't be avoided at that age...)
CarChick (my wife) likes to watch the various 'cops chasing idiot drivers' car shows and count how may of the crashes are due to the driver lifting as soon as they get into a little bit of trouble. The visual signs are unmistakable. In this case the audio is prima facie.

joey's from Jersey...go figure.
A great example of why Porsche keeps adding all of the electronic "nannies". Trying to protect the people that can't drive.
But this guy is so stupid..he disables it!

For those of us who live in that area, we know that exit from the mall onto Rt 17 is really tricky. The right lane that those guys are zooming off on ends abruptly as the road goes to a two lane bottleneck. So they are accelerating as fast as they can and then have to merge with traffic just a few hundred feet down. Even on a light traffic day (Sunday), it's just dumb and then there's all those young kids with their cell phones right on the side of the road - geez.
The Porsche guy's accident was actually one of the milder ones. There are pictures on the internet from that day/event of several cars that crashed that were much more significant accidents with much more expensive cars. Well, no one was seriously injured, but high horsepower + track tires + light rain + the smell of testosterone is a mess.
Really a shame because the event was for a good cause and thousands of folks showed up to raise money for St. Judes. Hope the cops don't shut it down for next year.
