Default RTS Roof Transport System on 991.2 CS4

I bought the Porsche RTS from my dealer last week and had the opportunity to install it tonight. Also bought two mtb bike racks to go on top and have some questions. BTW, I love the way they look... oh and how I can haul my bikes too

There were no DIY videos online so I pieced what I could find together and got it secure but I don't know if I need to have the bike racks facing the same way, or have them opposite of each other

Here are some poser pics.

Love this car, I think i'll keep it.

If you notice the drivers side bike rack's Quick Release support tube is facing towards the middle of the sunroof. It would be difficult to access.

You can turn the mechanism towards your side. It is quite easy.

The driver rack is installed wrong.

Always wonder if these will scratch the roof?

Roof racks designed for specific cars will never scratch the roof.

I used for 5 years in a weekly basis roof rack on my Volvo to carry on my bikes and I never had any issue.

Also as Carrera is a low height car makes the bike load / unload quite easy.
The only way to scratch the roof is to drop the bike from your hands on top of the roof before you load it.

Ok thanks for the clarification nilaz, so the driver's side rack should point towards the rear of the car, and the bike faces backwards? Passenger side faces forwards. I was wondering if the handle bars would bump each other if the bikes faced the same way.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Depends of your bikes. If you plan to instal two MTBs then the one bike should face backwards. The racks are identical to Thule therefore you can see many YouTube videos how to use them properly.

The towers actually sit on little metal feet that fold out of the roof, so nothing comes in contact with the paintwork. It's pretty clever.
