Detailer scratched/swirled PPF
Had my car in for service and after dealer scratched car the guy that they brought in to repair messed up the entire car including PPF on hood. Can swirls etc be buffed out of 3M?

Not all the 3M is created equal. If it's the newer pro series, it is self-healing to some extent. Try parking it in the sun for a day and see if it improves. Otherwise, I think replacement is required.

Thanks, I'll try that. Its pretty bad. Dealer (they're amazing)said they would replace if it can't be fixed.

That's some detail guy! i am sure dealership will not be doing business with him anymore.
Personally, I'd take the car to my own PPF guy to get it replaced and have them charge the dealership.

A heat gun carefully applied to XPEL material makes swirls disappear pronto. Just keep the gun moving and don’t let it linger in one spot. It is amazing, the swirls disappear like magic. Don’t know if 3M does the same though, but worth a try.
