Hello and Build Intro!
Hi there!
Long time lurker of RL; around 6 months or so of lurking. After many months of searching and contemplation, I recently picked up my first Porsche and am excited to get into the community.
I'm coming from the BMW scene, and am eager to get into the modding scene with Porsche...just want to do my HW first before I jump in. Was originally looking for a pre-loved 991.1 4S, but fell in love with the 991.2 turbo motors (and the dyno chart). Found a car that made sense to me, and went through with it. So far I'm loving it. Exhaust mods are currently being considered...a Fabspeed X-Pipe to be exact. Will do a tune as soon as the OBD boot loader method is unlocked (had my DME unlocked in my bimmer....would rather wait until an OBD method is found).
Anyways, just wanted to say hi! Looking forward to contributing on here in the future.
Cheers!

I can’t speak for OP but I’ve been driving RWD 911s for a few years in Illinois. Snow tires are a must. Grip is not the isssue during Chicago winters. Deep snow / ground clearance and late winter/early spring potholes are the real problems.

Completely agreed. Don’t need an AWD for snow if you have proper winter tires. Used to drive one in Montreal.

What an awesome spec for your first 911. Congrats and welcome, to be honest I don't think you could have picked a better car to enjoy as your first Porsche IMO. You won't be looking back that's for sure!! 991.2 Carrera is such a fantastic and versatile machine. Enjoy in good health and best of luck with the mods (although I think you don't mess with perfection )

My wife loves her GLS450 super truck its big enough to do almost anything including towing my GT4 and 4s to the race track when needed...
How do you keep these black cars clean? Congrats on the purchase, and once you drive a P car you will be hooked
