Hello everyone-

Recently sold my 2010 987.2S and looking to get into a 991.1S

been looking all over the country and lost 2 REALLY nice cars (someone got to it before I did)

So hopefully the 3rd on is a charm...here is the build sheet. CPO car with 25k miles......and dealer is asking 73.8k and change. I am thinking 72k sounds fair.

Suggestions, opinion, input etc?

Great build and fair price. If looks good in person and clean CarFax I'd say go for it.

Are u able to see it in person? How far are you from it?

Agree with STG. My car has a slightly higher MSRP with similar options, but much lower mileage, that I purchased last year in the high $70k. So I expect a year later that my car would be priced like the one you are looking.

yes CPO included. going to see it in person tomorrow (this one is about 80 miles away which isnt too bad)

Carfax is clean, 2 owners and the car been CPO since the 2nd owner and CPO again now.

battery replaced and 60k/6 year srv done

I am suprised to see that porsche dont call for a PDK oil replacement until 120k. my old 987.2S calls for a replacement at 6 year or 50k miles

is that true? or do most owner replace it earlier (like those so called lifetime tranny oil)

I thought was lifetime on PDK. Someone has been able to change it I think somehow.

Don't think it's supposed to be serviceable?? Think it's sealed. I forget. Could be all wrong

Hi Vodkag, very nice build. I came from four Boxsters to a 997.1, they are so different. I'm now in a 991.2 and it is simply amazing. Is this the first time driving a 911? The 991.1 will be VERY different from a 2010 987.2. The 987.2 is an amazing car. It keeps you constantly engaged and really is a blast to 'zip' around in. In 'my' view you'll want to keep the 991.1 in Sport mode to keep you that engaged. Let us know how the test drive goes. I am always interested in how folks feel going from a 987 to a 991. I know the sensations I got but we all have different driving styles.

I have driven the 991.1S before. but not to the limit. Yes is a VERY different car since the 987 is mid engine which handled very nicely on the track. I heard you drive the 911s very differently on the track (a drive instructor once told me) Cant wait to take it to the track and see what it can do :-)

I missed out on a 2012 launch car with only 16,000 miles with PDCC :-(

There are two different fluids in the PDK, one for the gears and one for the clutch bath and control hydraulics. In the original PDKs the clutch fluid was recommended for replacement at 60k/6yr and the gear oil was 120k/12yrs.

However, with the PDK for the 991 and equivalent generation Cayman/Boxster/etc. models they lengthened the clutch oil service... so they are now both 120k/12 years.

Chrono, SPASM, 18ways, roof, S wheels. Nice build, only thing I would have added was PSE. Seems like a great price for a CPO 991. Go get it and post pics!

one was a 2012 launch model convertible with only 16k miles, its got all the options PDCC, Schrono, pdk, PDLS adp seats, adv lighting, PSE, ext leather, and a few minor other options....asking 78k

the second one was a 2014 convertible with 28k miles aero kit, design steering, PDK, s chrono PDLS ext leather asking 78k

both CPO cars and S......one is from North Carolina the other was in Florida

Ditto that, it would be a perfect build if it got the PSE on it......but after losing out on both of the cars i mention above....I was getting antsy...PLUS this was local so it was a LOT easier and less trouble...(dont have to fly out there etc etc).

AND yes i did took her home with me, pict will be up after dinner :-)

Just throwing my comments out there, as the 2012 991.1 C2S I purchased in January 2017 was very similar to those specs and a CPO as well. Mine has PDCC and not PDLS, everything else was similar. I paid a little less than that, but it was a Chicago Porsche dealer in the middle of winter...
I immediately added an exhaust, Sport Steering wheel, and TechArt springs.
Coming from a 997.1 Turbo, I was absolutely blown away by the comfort and overall performance of the 991.1 C2S. I still am. I've taken it to 2 weekend DE events and find the 991.1 C2S to be extremely capable in practical stock form. I'm sure a lot of people may disagree with me, but I personally think the 991.1 C2S is just as capable as a 997 GT3 (or damn close), at least in stock vs stock form. I know that is obviously dependent on driver skill, but the technology in the 991 is very impressive. [My dream car is a 991 GT3, so take that comment for what its worth]
I feel its a huge upgrade over my 997.2 CS (obviously), and although I miss the widebody and rocket ship acceleration of my tuned 997.1 Turbo, I much prefer the 991.1 C2S overall.
Coming from a mid-engine will make for quite a different driving experience, as the 991 is quite a bit bigger than the 987 (and 997) and turns with the rear engine does make you more conscious of weight balance. Overall and as stated above, the 991.1 is very impressive and it's exciting every time I get in the car. That price seems to be fair given the CPO, so good luck! It's hard to find exactly what you want that is nearby. I had to drive 8 hours for mine...

Thanks for the input, I ended up paying slightly under 73k for it :-) But yes very different from the mid engine 987.2S. I had a 2010 E62 M6 and a BMW Z4M roadster before that. They are all very diff cars....but the Porsches are def a diff animal
