Default Best Financing Rates

Shopping around and looking for the best rates for a new vehicle... anyone get better than PenFed's rates (3.24% @ 60mo)? Obviously looking for rates where membership is easy to get (if a credit union). Thanks.

Rates have gone way up since December.

I saw 2.39% for 66 months at RBFCU today. They were 1.95% in February.

BofA are surprisingly competitive on car loans.

I've done one in the past with them and it was fast, easy, painless (yes BofA!)

Currently advertising 2.89% plus reductions of up to 0.5% on that if you bank with them.

2.19% at AAA. Used them last year for our GTS @ 1.79%. Painless process

This.. BoA is also more willing to finance higher dollar amounts whereas credit unions start getting cold feet when you seek 70k+

They've been able to match or beat the rates I get from a CU through the local medical society on my last two purchases.

I went through my insurance carrier (state farm) I didn't even know they had a financing/bank arm. Also they will give you gap insurance as part of the deal too. (not sure how heavy u are financing)

I got the 2.89% from BoA, but learned of the extra discount later (too late). The deal is for BoA cash rewards credit card customers and depends on your level (Regular, Platinum or Platinum Plus) as to the amount of extra discount. It must be taken into account when you initially purchase the vehicle; the savings isn't worth it for a refi.
