Default Email Notifications driving me crazy

Sorry if this has been asked before, but how do I turn email notifications off? My android phone when paired to PCM via bluetooth makes an annoying beep for every email I receive on my phone's email client. I can disable this by going into phone options, but is there a way to permanently turn off these notifications?

Thanks!

LOL, I too couldn't figure out what that periodic beeping tune was, looking all over my dash for a problem indicator, till I finally figured it out. It was almost as bad as trying to find the button for the steering wheel heating.

Any resolution to this? If I turn off the notification sound in PCM phone options, it comes back on next time I start the car. It beeps with every work email on my phone, which is all too often unfortunately. Does anyone else have this problem (beep/chime on every email and SMS text - and no distinction between an email or a text beep/chime).

Switching the SMS signal tone on and off

You can switch the signal tone that sounds when a text message comes in on or off.

  1. Press the button.
  2. Press the button or touch the tab of the same name in the header.
  3. Select "SET PHONE"
    > "Messages/data"
  4. > "SMS settings".
  5. Select "SMS signal tone" to activate ( ) or deactivate ( ) the function.

Remember to SAVE the setting after you turn it off and save it to all keys if that is what you want

I thought this was going to be about Suncoast's creepy habit of emailing you 5 seconds after you look at something on their website asking you if you're still interested.

I would laugh but this is so true and irritating. It has had the opposite effect - I don’t look there as nearly as often as I use to. And I have bought a LOT from them over the years.
