Default Rear Wheel Well Liners?

I recently purchase a 2015 Targa 4 and noticed that there are no inner wheel well liners at the back of the rear wheel wells? Has anyone tried retrofitting something to protect the components behind the rear wheels? https://www.suncoastparts.com/catego...xteriorWW.html

Only if you made them out of asbestos.

I bet they decided not to cover it up because of the heat build up.

Just a guess.

Side mufflers are right behind rear wheels. It's open for a reason. Most likely cooling.

One day some sunlight was reflecting off my truck windshield into my garage and highlighted the heat escaping out of the wheel well when the car is sitting. This was a 991.1. I wouldn't mess with it.

There is really nothing that needs protection back there - and like others have said it may be open for cooling purposes. I'd be careful in trying to close that area up and spend the time reaching out to Porsche Inc to find out if there would be issues if you did. These cars are not designed to be beauty queens.

Drive More. Worry less.

Trap the heat back there and you'll have bigger issues than hearing rocks hitting the mufflers.

Those are your rear tire warmers. You don't want to cover those up.

You guys are solving this problem the wrong way.... Straight pipes and muffler delete is the answer. Then nothing to protect, less restrictive and less weight. Bada boom, bada bing.

My '18 C2 GTS has a wheel well liner that is considerably larger than what you show.

As does my '17 C4S. Completely covered rear liner, in fact.
