Not true. The driveway faces West and gets plenty of afternoon sun. There's enough clearance for water to seep around it. Besides, this solution was recommended by a member of the Jefferson County Road Commission after I had asked him to look at my curb. I was going to grind down the curb and the sidewalk and he told me that the American Disability Act, prohibited achieving more than a 4percent grade on a sidewalk, so I adopted this simpler solution.
