Default Badging on GTS

Have a new GTS coming with standard badging on the rear bumper “911 Carrera GTS”. Feeling this is too “verbose” and thinking about changing it to “911 GTS” or just “GTS”. Have seen others on RL with GTS, do most leave it stock?

On my 2011 997.2 GTS I went with just the letters "GTS." G and T were black; S was red. I saw a few like that back in the day. Not sure what people are doing now -- I ordered my 991.2 GTS without a rear badge. It'll just say "Porsche." I left the door GTS decals intact.

If it is not built yet, ask Porsche to badge it according to Your taste. That is better than doing alterations Your self.

I prefer the cleaner uncluttered look. I did the model delete on both of my ordered Porsches. If you do it after the fact, you need to recenter "Porsche" on the bumper.

I had this done through the factory, but if your dealer has the template, I obviously think it would look great!

I left it alone - and love it.

Thanks - car is built with “911 Carrera GTS” coming with PORSCHE above. I noticed if you did model delete, the PORSCHE lettering is in a larger “font”and lower on the bumper. Asked the clear if I could get 911GTS when I ordered the car, but they said no. I’ll need to make any changes when the car arrives in the US.

I too prefer the uncluttered look. I went with the GT3 RS decal theme. It was a very easy DIY job, the details of which I have posted in previous threads.

If you do the model delete, the logo size is the same, but it is lowered on the deck lid.

I ordered my car with the model delete, so when I wanted to put the GTS badge on, so I had to get another Porsche badge and then apply the GTS badge below it.

Your dealership may have a template you can use to get the spacing right. Or you can also mark the spacing with painters tape.

Anytime I run a build sheet and the lettering on the back of the car doesn't match how it came from the factory, I always wonder if the car was in an accident or repainted. Personally I don't care for the alphabet soup on the back but I'd leave it the way it was born.

I also did the model delete on my C4 GTS.

Nice clean P O R S C H E centered on that sexy wide *** rear end!

"911 GTS" would look great.
