anyone tried griots leather cleaner cream? will it leave a residue? I should have got that damn spray liquid. Maybe I can dilute the cream into a spray~?! with what? water?

Looks like the first one (cream) will be ok though… "dries clear on perforated leather, and leaves a non-greasy, supple finish after the final buff"

Maybe should have gotten this one, but too late!

You can use steam clean method. Start at the top and work your way down to the bottom when steam cleaning. It's conceivable that the steam will soften the compacted dirt. To clean holes in leather seats, use a microfiber towel or a soft-bristled brush.

Handheld steamers are awesome, especially if you have silver leather. I should have done a before and after photo but it made the seats look brand new.

I get it. I think I would have figured out another way, (such as wiping something into the holes that would soften what's in there and using a brush), but I get it.

I have different microfiber towels for paint, glass, & wheels. The last time I washed & dried them, I did this:

Time has passed but given this is one of the longest threads online about the topic thought I’d join to pipe in here with my own experience that has been effective on perforated leather:

1. massage gun (piston type) plus brush head vacuum has been effective at pulverizing the dried crap and sucking it out.

2. compressed air will generally blow it down into the ventilation channels, especially with the massage gun approach.

bonus use for massage gun + vacuum is on carpets to lift sand.
