You know, this is a good idea for when as in my previous C4S some white fabric/material for whatever reason was coming "up" through some of the holes on the passenger seat. I was taking toothpicks and gently pushing the stuffing-like white material back down into the holes -- this gum pick rubber hat looks like it would be a nice alternative! Thanks for sharing!

Now, as for cleaning the holes when something gets in them and perhaps dries -- I found that a fabric brush attachment on my shop vac works wonderfully to simply suck the material from the holes! You just need a good amount of suction/vacuum if the stuff is like dried cleaner or in my case some wifey makeup that somehow managed to be on the seat!

Just did this with a safety pin last weekend myself. I'm glad to learn I'm not the only OCD one here with no life

Revealing classified information on a public website is dangerous.

Just saying...

Finally, I found a tool to clean gums with a rubber tip and decided to give it a try. I have sprayed a liquid leather cleaner and went to work on each hole that had the residue. The spray is a must since it adds lubrication and cleaning product inside each hole. Make sure you clean the excess frequently after several passes with the gum pick. Spray, pick each hole and dry the excess. I prefer a white microfiber towel for the interior. Tedious but effective!

group buy.. I have contacted a dental supplier...if u guys want one...I can get it for $100 each. Pm me.

I've been a dentist for 35 years, I see that cleaning tool everyday. You can buy it from any dental supply catalog on line. In fact, you can buy a battery operated one with an identical tip (just like the one in the picture) for $22.99 from Amazon. That should pique the OCD guy's interest. Good luck and, "Clean on!"

Why don't you use a powerful shop-vac to clean the perforations, why does the debris have to be pushed back down?

Because when the leather cream dried out and sticks inside the holes the only way to remove it is by punching the hole. Another option would’ve been to use a steam machine, but I didn’t want to introduce that much moisture inside the ventilated and heat system.

As I mentioned before, for my particular situation this is the best solution. I have been detailing my cars for more than ten years and after three years of ownership I found the solution to the problem. For all the nay sayers or lazy car owners disregard this post.
