Definitely isn't good for the skis - but I felt like the aero impact of the roof box was a bit too much. Cleaning the skis is fairly easy.

I commend you, however, around here gravel is dumped on the roads. Also, stiff suspensions get stiffer when it gets cold. Oh, and potholes don't help either. It's been a long winter....
