991.2 Intercooler Intake Design Observations

This proves nothing, but I was trying to understand the airflow with spoiler up and down, so I did these flow visualizations. Just posting here because I thought they were interesting... maybe a little bit more work on the source image and Reynold's number modification would be useful.
Don't know if this is real wind tunnel, or just generated graphics, but all of the CFD and 'wind tunnel' flow visualizations I've seen of the 911 show better attachment.

Those clips have Re=2,000,000. At Re=1,000,000, the flow follows the car contours better, with fewer and less pronounced vortices. I didn’t know the appropriate length scale, so my Re could be way off.

err you do realise the the laminar to turbulent flow transition occurs at a Re of ~ 3000 and that it may a larger impact on drag...
and yet most of the flow across a Porsche is laminar
and yet most of the flow across a Porsche is laminar
