Default 991.2 Wheel Fitment Advice - Help!

Hey guys,

Need some advice on rear wheel fitment..I have the 991.2 narrow body with the 76 offset on the 11.5 wide tires in the back. I am looking at aftermarket wheels something flow-formed as i'm not looking to spend 10g's on HRE forged.

I have heard putting 55 ET 11' wide on the 991.2 works but still would push the wheel out about .5 inch or 15mm, I feel that already the stocks are fairly flush with the wheel well. Has anyone done this? Any advice on aftermarket wheels? I was looking at more reasonable forged company's that make stuff out of Taiwan, but even then they only goto 55 offset due to concavity..

Help I wanna put some clean wheels on my car.

You need to run your numbers through willtheyfit.com. With the numbers you just gave it reports that the wheel will poke out 15mm more... way too much. You can see the detailed results at this link:
http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=305&aspect=30&diameter=20&wheelwidth=11.5&offset=76&widt h2=305&aspect2=30&wheel_size=20&wheel_width=11-0&offset2=55

According to that site, and working with the narrower wheel you specified (11.0"), it appears you'd only want to drop the offset to a 69 or 70 ET. Play with the numbers starting with the link above. In my opinion, the 991.2 wheels sit pretty nicely like they come so I'd suggest you try to find values that duplicate the OEM poke. Are there no FlowForm wheels at 11.5"?

Our advice is to delay your wheel purchase and allow yourself to save up for a quality wheel like the HRE's. Don't put a Taiwanese made wheel on your German sports car - there's a reason why those wheels aren't allowed to be sold in Germany...
