Default Recommendations for a License Plate Frame for a 2013 991 C4S

Hi All,

I'm looking for recommendations for a black license plate frame for my 2013 991 C4S that won't scratch the fiberglass bumper. Plastic is probably the way to go, but I'm hoping to hear from the forum on recommendations of which model and brand to buy. Thanks!

Nate

Installed this one on the 981, and fit/finish was excellent. Comes with a couple of stick on pads that keeps the frame/plate off the bumper:

Put whatever frame you want but stick the little rubber bumper pieces that you buy to put under objects to keep them from sliding around on the back of the plate to keep the plate and frame from touching the bumper.

I'm a minimalist, so I installed a thin perimeter frame

and gave it coat with matte black Plasti-dip before installing.

As Penn4S also mentioned, I bought these for added protection on the frame....

I make a very nice CNC Machined Aluminum plate frame that comes anodized in silver or black. www.ffgarage.com I offer a Rennlist discount of 10% off. Code is "RENNLIST"

I have sold many of them to this community with good feedback.

Check out Weathertech. I am using the StainlessFrame, excellent quality. The Billet aluminum frame available in black. Be sure to order the PlateSpacer gasket that keeps the frame away from the body.

eBay search for OEM Porsche slimline - It was 39.95. It came with everything needed for a good fit.

I just got a thin black frame from Pep Boys, used some rubber standoffs behind the frame, and job done.

Guess that makes me uber minimalist... I didn’t bother with a frame at all. My plates go commando.

This is indeed a nice clean minimalist frame worthy of being installed on a Porsche. It also has 4 holes to properly lock down the plate unlike some cheaper 2 hole versions. They also sell some nice theft-resistant stainless screws for them. Yes the price is a little on the high side, but only in comparison to high volume foreign-made commodity items. It is a very well made low production item made in the USA by an enterprising Rennlister and better than anything else I found after a lot of looking.
