Options that you were disappointed/satisfied with?

Blame the lawyers, not PCNA. It's a liability issue. You can get a smart top mod for about $300 from mod4cars which allows you to open and close your top from your fob and have a one touch up and down from inside the cab (you don't have to hold the button).
I believe the head light washers are still there on the GTSs. They were removed from the other Carrera models because there was a slight weight change for 2018 that had to be compensated by removing the washers/pumps etc otherwise PCNA would have had to recertify the car.

I am not sure exactly. Others here probably know. I only know the inside scoop on why they went away because I ordered my 2018 car with painted washers. When I was at the factory for the pickup (European Delivery), I audited my options and found the washers were missing all together even though I ordered PDLS and painted washers. They told me why. They didn't tell me what change in the 2018 models that caused the weight increase.

The Sport Design mirrors definitely look better. The functionality of the power folding mirrors is nice if you frequently park in tight parking spaces, but that’s not the case for me. I didn’t choose the options on my car; I bought it off the lot.

I have a 2014 C2S CPO car that is heavily optioned. I'd pass on the following items because they don't increase the performance of the car and I just don't need them:
603 PDLA
651 Electric slide tilt roof
658 Power Steering Plus
748 Power folding side mirrors
P3K Burmester, prefer to listen to the engine and IMO it doesn't sound $5K good.
While I like the sport seats the 18 way is overkill. Maybe the sport seats in manual to save some weight?

Guys, the is why I love this forum.
Soooooo much valuable data.
That STHBPE1 - SmartTOP is a must have and something I was trying to figure out on how to do.
So thank you @subshooter for that input. It's $417 but worth every penny in a state like FL where rain can hit you any time. So if you want to get in to an open car and get out of an open car, this mod is a must.

Agree on Bose in the 991.1: Not good enough.
Very happy with Bose in my 991.2; is it amaaaazing? No. Is it worth $1600? YES.
Only option I regret adding is the ventilated seats. I know some like them, but a seat engineer I spoke to (too late) mentioned that there is less padding as a result of the ventilation system. I notice this on trips from San Francisco to Los Angeles, where the 4-way Sport Seats Plus in my GT4 left me with no sore spots while the ones in my 991.2 Carrera give me sore spots. The Alcantara in the GT4 may have made its seats a bit softer, but it feels more like a padding issue to me—and I don't feel like I sit "in" the ventilated seats in the same way I sat in the GT4's seats. Feels more like I sit "on" the 991.2 seats.
YMMV!

I have a CPO C2S, no real complaints. Best options: PDK, SPASM, Leather, PSE. The seat ventilation is weak, as others mention. The wind buffeting until AWE deflectors were installed was annoying.

Race Car
Not a surprise at all. Happy to have had it on a CPO car that someone else paid for but on an ordered car, it still seems silly to spend that much on an option no one ever sees...and you only see when you fill it up lol!

Like: 2 tone luxor beige interior (looks luxurious and brightens the interior), CF MF wheel (looks and feels great), No sunroof (never use it, less rattles?), Smoking package (free plug in for the escort)
Dislike: Brake squeak, Road noise & Too light steering (yes I know these aren't options, but Porsche threw them in for free), light design pkg (still have no clue what this is for 500$- there's some wimpy lighting around the front doors but isn't that standard?)
Ambivalent: LCA ( works great, but I don't use it as much as I thought ), Bose (just OK, but with road/engine noise, I can't hear it anyway),18 w seats (14 w fine)

I feel like no seat ventilation is going to feel super strong. Maybe people wanted cooled seats instead? Coolong is probably more noticeable feel-wise but maybe less effective at keeping your butt fresh in the long run? The vented seats were great for road tripping 101 from CA-WA and back again.
