Default Porsche Configurator 360 - Unity Webplayer

Hi,
I wonder if anybody been able to use the 3D viewer in Porsche configurator on Windows recently?
I tried all the browsers and the 360 icon only shows up in IE11 and FireFox 48 or earlier and even then when it tries to load 3D it gives an error and give option to download the WebPlayer manually which I do but it still does not work.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

I´m using Mac and the only browser that works with the 3D for me is Safari. Chrome and Firefox doesn´t work.

Yep - time for a move to WebGL.

Yes, it only runs under IE, but it does run. Occassionally, there is a back-end server issue and you just have to wait, but it generally works.

I use I.E. & Firefox with it all the time, seems to work fine for me. It has been flaky over the years, but actually seems more solid the last year.

Seems silly for a company with such high profit margins to skimp on Web design.

They've had the Unity configurator for how many years? 5? 7?

Yeah this has been an issue for a while. IE11 and safari work. That is it. IE11 isn't even supported anymore. Too bad because a lot of the options can only be viewed in 3D.

I use to have Windows 7 and IE and it worked great. But ever since I got windows 10 and Microsoft edge the 3D will not work. The configurator directs you Unity, where you down load it, it shows up in the computer, but still want open in the configurator. Just keeps telling me to download the newest unity. Anybody that knows a fix for windows 10 please share it. Would be nice to see deviated stitching and ect.. again.

Using windows 10 and only the old internet explorer works for me. Not edge, chrome or FF.

It actually works fine in Windows 10 in Chrome if you download the Gameload Chrome extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

I have a Targa 4 GTS open in 3D right now via Chrome/Gameload. =)

Once it's installed (and you might have to restart Chrome, I don't know), when you're on the configuration page, right click the 360 icon and say "Open this site in Gameload". It will pop up a new window with a big PLAY button. It will then have another configurator window open in the Gameload window; click the 360 there and you're good to go.

It fails in my on my Mac w Safari and in the Win10 Bootcamp partition with Firefox.

Until Porsche fixes it, I am not ordering the Turbo S, GT3 or Panamera Turbo SE Hybrid that I have all ready to go....

If only we could all be so uncompromising and band together in solidarity!

Or, we just order our cars anyway.

Unity Web Player was killed off because it uses a plugin that is not secure. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NPAPI#Plugins

Chrome no longer supports that plug-in, but it appears that it can be re-enabled: http://twiik.net/articles/google-chr...ity-web-player

You could also try an older browser (before 2013).
