991.1 GTS trade in values. KBB Accurate?
Looked at KBB my trade in value is about $102k. 15 mint 7800 miles, $132k MSRP. Dealer came back with $85k. Who is "off" here? If the trade in is $85k I'm keeping it... I was expecting upper $90's. Curious if anybody has any experience, please chime in.
Or maybe its a seasonal thing. I'm in no rush, and can wait until prices pop up in spring time.
TIA

The dealer is LOW in my opinion.
They will list the car for $110K with CPO. Will cost them some $$ for CPO and any work and any discount off asking.
Make of it what you will. I would have hoped for a $93K-$95K trade.
Why selling? Trade to what? Build sheet?

No way its 85K, dealer is simply too low trying to make a good 20K return...they will turn around and selling for above 105K at the minimum. 90s sounds about right for a trade on this car but why trade? sell it yourself, these cars are very high in demand and you have low miles.

Drifting
I got 100k on a 15 with 12,000 miles and a 136k msrp. PDK, GT Silver, full leather, no sunroof, Bose, CLs. They listed it for $114,900. Sold in about 2 weeks. This was last June.

In my case the taxes are 3.35%. If I trade in a 100,000 car to make the math simple I also figure the $3350 in tax savings. At that point I am needing to sell it for at least 105-106K to even make it worth the hassle. I would be willing to eat 2k not to have to sell it myself.

i just roll with autotrader to see where they are asked. that price seems very low. i wrote a check for mine in november off a 27month lease for 94k (inclusive of tax) and think 105k is the right number.
edit: 17k miles at end of lease

There are a lot of guys looking for a GTS. Start with a simple ad here and see what happens. Will cost you nothing but 10 minutes to write the ad. Unlikely you will end up with a lot of tire-kickers.
That is a low-lowball offer for sure. Dealers never afraid to do it to you but will feign disgust if you make a low ball offer to them. What a game!

Curious what the normal difference is between the best you can do on trade and what you could get selling it yourself?

My MSRP was around $140K,.....I would not accept anything lower then $103K at this time. 991.1 GTSs are holding value really well for nice examples. I see comparable cars on dealer lots starting @ $115 and even more for really nice examples. Bare bone GTSs will sell for less (non-full leather, no bose/burm, bland color combos).
My two dealers I have worked with before have always offered close if not spot on with KBB. Your dealer is full of......

I'm almost positive most dealers use Mannheim auction prices for trade value. I have a buddy who has access to those values - I would say the last 7 or 8 trade in deals I've done - Mannheim auction price is pretty much in line with kbb trade in "rough" value. YMMV but in DFW it seems they sell used cars at kbb trade in "excellent" value. That way they can still tell you it's "below book". This may not be quite as accurate in 911 world due to customization and vastly differing MSRP, but it's close.

Three Wheelin'
If I had half a brain, I'd heed your advice Bemo.
Had it out yesterday for a bit, dropped off for touch up. Roads were clean and dry. Seems to drive a little better each time I get behind the wheel.
