Can you all advise on monthly cost of 991 ownership, minus gas and cost of the car itself? ( ie, tires, maintenance, and anything else I might be missing) Im looking at a 2017 C2S with around 18k miles, as well as a new 2018 C2

My buddy sold his 2013 4s a year and 6k miles after buying and his experience was an oil change and the 30k, whatever that is. I remember him saying it was about $900.
They are relatively new cars, get a warranty if it's out and you're concerned about absorbing a big hit.

My rule of thumb has been to budget $2.5K / yr for maintenance on any 911, just stick it in a WDK account. Add a suitable amount for whatever tires you plan to use. That way, you'll never be tempted to skimp on work you really need to do. By the time your warranty runs out, you have *at least* $10K for "oh no!" items. Oh, and the wife will think this is the most sensible car ever. Has worked for me for 16+ years.

It would seem that insurance would be something that should not be overlooked. I've seen some mind-boggling numbers quoted on this forum to insure 911's. And i'm not exaggerating when I say mind-boggling.

I don't disagree for some (myself included), but check out numbers for others in previous insurance threads, and it will make you gasp in awe of what insurance premiums can be in other areas.

So far the 13 911 C4S has been more economical to own then my previous 08 Audi RS4.

I've not been in an accident in over 20 years, own several homes. When I went to go insure my latest C4S, I shopped some companies. There were several that refused to even quote me a policy, some were over $5,000 a year. Thanks California drivers.

I can't say I am, but I'm not opposed to finding a non porsche shop to do maintanence ( unless it would hurt resell value) Tks for the spread sheet. Your insurance cost of around 1k / year is about what I was expecting to pay.

Stumbled across this attachment which is price sensitive based on the area of the country you may live, but will give you a decent idea of what maintenance will run you.

For tires....figure about $750 for rears every 12-15K miles or so and about $550 every 25K miles or so for fronts.
