Default Skipped a generation

My first Porsche is a 2004 C2 base with MT that I would have kept if SO had approved. I wanted a cab and a newer car without any IMSB cloud hanging on. So I skipped 997’s and purchased a 2012.5 Carrera S Cabriolet found in Scottsdale AZ. Looked for a MT but could not find the combination of options and color I wanted. Only had the car for a couple of weeks with limited driving, but what a fantastic car. Attached a few photos and the build sheet.

In AZ to close deal. No time to drive it back so shipped to Bham.

Home at last.

Eautiful car, almost a twin to mine! Maybe a fraternal twin?

Enjoy in good health!

Great find. Congratulations and good luck with it! Good option package on it.

and you couldn’t trade her for the Porsche? I would take any option off the table.

Highyo "did you get a good deal?"
I think I did @64K

jnolan: "and you couldn’t trade her for the Porsche? "
she is a 1946 model in great condition with me for 48 years. That trumps even a Porsche.

kmk0303 - One previous owner who actually drove it for 42K which I'm sure influenced the price - makes it a "high mileage" Porsche

Congratulations! Sounds like a good deal, and 42,000 is no miles at all. I recently moved from Birmingham- if you are looking for an Indy shop Eurasian in Southside is the best in Birmingham.

Sounds like you got a great deal on a beautiful car.

PS. I love the anti-door-ding device on the support beam in your garage.

I wondered if anyone would comment. That is for my wife who requested the bubble wrap for her new Lexus.

Seriously, it makes sense and is functional. I have dark grey foam strip with a magnetic strip glued to the back of it running along a section of my wall of cabinets/drawers where my 991's passenger door opens up to in order to make sure my youngest doesn't slam the car door into it (metal on metal). I put a the magnetic strip on the back of the foam so I could pull it off and put it on easily when I need access to those drawers/cabinets (I purposely made them my "once in a blue moon tool" drawers though)

Totally agree. I plan on putting several hundred thousand on my 2018 911. I'm already at 6k now. These cars are meant to be driven. It keeps them healthy.
