Default Anyone put 19" wheels on their Carrera S?

Thinking about doing aftermarket wheels in a smaller size than the factory options (but stock size on base Carrera). I think it might improve ride comfort, and looks wise the wheel size is something I don't care about at all. I don't see any reason this couldn't be done, but I'm wondering if anyone else has done it.

My friend put 19” OZ wheels on his 991 c2s so he’d have more options for track tires. He had no complaints and the car still looked great.

Looks great! Do you know if he optioned RWS? I think the offsets might be different if you do, that's my only concern...

Winter ready. The 19s definitely make a difference in ride quality in NYC. Plus they are significantly lighter than my Sport Technos.

Do you know what tire sizes he is running? I've been thinking of switching to 19" for track wheels, but there seems to be less options for tires for 245/40 front and 295/35 rear. Largest P4S, for example, is 285.

I don't see why not as long as you don't have RWS or PCCB. I am using 19 inch winter wheels and tires in my 991.2 4S. The wheels are Porsche wheels from the base Carrera. The car does ride better with the 19s although it could also be partly attributable to the Continental winter tires.

I’m not sure what sizes he had, but I know the week that I had his car it had R888s on it.
