Default DME readout

I am looking at a 2012 911 carrera S cab (PDK) and part of the evaluation was to ask for a read of the DME/ECU. This was done by a Porsche dealer who did not include any interpretation. If anyone is familiar with these data I would appreciate knowing if there is anything of concern. I looked through the file (344 pgs) and highlited areas of possible interest.

I can't read that document. Don't worry about the DME readout on a PDK car, in general. Ask the dealership for the Over-rev report for from the DME readout. You want to see the rev counts in each of the 6 ranges, with the time stamp, and the total operating hours.

That ain't a PDF file.

If you want a DME report the dealer should provide you with one, one you can read. You want a DME printout of the total engine run time and the over rev counters and the timestamp of the last event. From this you can see if the engine may have been flashed -- which can raise the red line and result in a large number of over revs at least in the first range -- and if the engine has been over reved beyond the first range. While it is hard to over rev a PDK equipped car it is not impossible. It also always you to perform a sanity check on the engine run time vs. odometer miles.

Strange it is a pdf file that opens on my computer. If by over rev you mean overspeed then:
Overspeed range 1 Number of ignitions 32 operating hours 491.89
Ranges 2 through 6 are 0

That's normal and what I'd expect on a PDK car. Are you sure it's a 991 (2012.5)?

Taking time to search for information. Would Engine Type: MA103 be helpful?
Date of manufacture 05/2012

You should know if the car is a 997.2 or a 991.1.

They both have a 9A1 motor.

Ok. Just making sure, since 2012 was a transition year.
