Quote: I have not been able to find the "value" of the T. 85k cash value if you don't want the car but I think the MSRP on a T is quite a bit higher than that.
You can choose 85k plus the 25k cash prize. 110k

11. Unless prohibited by law, the winner may substitute a cash prize in the amount of $85,000 US in lieu of taking possession of the car and $25,000 Cash Prize. Any election to take the cash prize must be made within ninety (90) days after the drawing.

I read that as "$85k instead of [Car + $25k]" - am I reading that wrong?

That is the way I read it too but you could also interpret it the other way.

Here it is: "11. Unless prohibited by law, the winner may substitute a cash prize in the amount of $85,000 US in lieu of taking possession of the car and $25,000 Cash Prize."

If you wanted the cash, it is probably better to just take the car and flip it.

Quote: They are giving away three of them! They were on their way to a fourth but not sure if they hit that number or not. So somewhere between 16,500 and 20,500 tickets sold?

They gave away 6 cars plus cash in the last raffle for a GTS. So that was between 28,500 and 32,500 tickets or $1,425,000+.

The 85K is in lieu of the car+25K. And is taxed similarly as "regular income". Its not a very good deal at all versus flipping the car.....the GTS prize was spec'd at 142.5K + 25K. Would EASILY pocket more than 85K option if your intent was max cash.

They want you to take the car. "We do this to giveaway cars, not hand out checks"...or something similar was what I was told. And why wouldn't you? You bought a ticket to win a car, not cash. (conceding that everybody's financials are unique)

I haven't read anything about winners. But I also know that I've not been contacted, so boo.

It always seems to take weeks (months even as I recall) after the supposed announcement date for all of the winners to be announced publicly. It appears you can request the list by this line in the rules, but who knows how long the response takes:
"For the name of the winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Porsche Club of America, P.O. Box 6400, Columbia, MD 21045, after January 31, 2018."

Like daberlin, I'm pretty sure I have one of them though.... just waiting for the call or the surprise reveal they like to do sometimes.
