Default Centerlock Cap Removal

I have read a number of threads talking about how worthless the Porsche centerlock cap removal tool is. What I read is that using it pretty much guarantees you'll mar the cap. I have found just the opposite, the tools works just great. However, my first intuition was to stick the metal tip in the hole just a little and pry. That is the wrong way and is sure to destroy a center cap. The metal tip of the tool is in a bit of a 'J' shape, and the entire tip needs to be inserted until you can no longer see any to the metal tip. When inserting, you have to use a circular motion to get the entire tip under the center cap. When properly inserted, the tip of the tool pushes against the plastic backing of the metal cap, and touches no metal. And the plastic body of the tool is what does the levering, and nothing but plastic touches the centerlock nut. Hope this helps someone, attached are a couple of pictures.
