Thank you for the in depth, honest review. As we always say, we’re open to feedback and we make changes to optimize our product and improve the whole experience whenever possible.
We like to go above and beyond and make sure the package and products arrive in top condition - glad to hear we exceed expectations there! We'll try to do better in all other areas as well.
I went out and inspected a large number of our o2 spacers. The spacer you received will function just fine, but it’s not up to the bar (we are trying to raise). Moving forward if they look similar, they will be failed. We can get another one out to you should you find it necessary.
Your dyno results are interesting. We need to get more data so we can see what's going on in full and go from there. Rennlist member jwerly is leaving us his 991 for long term development so we can do extensive dyno testing – stock tune and with a custom tune – for both catless and HJS HD 200 cell catted headers. Our goal is to have custom maps available for the COBB Accesport to pair with our headers. From there we can full evaluate performance and consider any updates to our headers. We’ll keep everyone updated as we go and we can even invite anyone interested in experiencing testing in person to join us.

Both 02 bungs look the same but as you mentioned - they still work.
As far as product improvements - butt welds and the collector where the 3 pipes come together leave the most room for improvement. There is just too much turbulence with the current design. As I mentioned in the review though - there is a production cost associated with this and Soul does well on a cost/value proposition. Sound will be improved but more importantly, performance will be greatly improved with these changes.

Update: I saw some Soul Headers for a Boxster this weekend.
Link: https://soulpp.com/product/porsche-9...ition-headers/
My gripe about the construction of the 991.1 Headers was primarily centered around the choice of how they welded the tubes and the off the shelf 3-1 collector they used. This is the portion of the product where I pointed to as the reason for turbulence, slight loss of power and design flaw/short cut. I was a little surprised (in a good way) to see the construction of the Cayman race headers. You can see a much better 3-1 collection of the tubes in an integrated way. If the 991.1 headers had THIS collector design then I believe they would perform significantly better.
For the 991.1 I think the value is just okay, given the price vs product design & construction [mainly collector] but for the 987, I think it is a very strong value proposition given the superior design over the 991.1 headers they offer at their price point. Another note is that they also fit the 987 platform significantly better and do not hang below the car like on the 991. I wanted to add this incase the 987 crew reads my review and considers this product.

Thank you for the kind words and always honest opinions about our headers. HJS HD 200 cell catted 991.1 headers are currently under development and we're considering all aspects of the product to meet the markets needs and expectations.

I want to have all OEM quality or better for mods. The sound taming is something I am very torn about.... it was great to have such an angry beast mode with the valves open and docile closed but ultimately I think sport cats are a better fir for me as well as the highest quality of construction on the FVD headers. FVD also stepped up for some media coverage coming up.

Don't fret much about the sound taming issue. Being a naturally aspirated flat 6 means it still howls better than 99.99% of the cars on the road.

Haha! I don’t have the bite to back up my bark but the car sounds better than a GT3 right now. Sport headers + IPe exhaust + plenum + BMC filters is no joke! The sound alone is intoxicating enough to love the car, despite how “slow” it is @ ~440hp
