Thanks for the kind words, but I can't take any credit for this setup. I handle the design of the components and the layout of the system – the skilled execution is being carried out by my two colleagues Tom Miller & Patrick Rollins!

Wait until you get a look at what they came up with for the rear laser jammers. We needed something than incorporated both jammers close to the license plate without blocking the plate lights or looking out of place. We decided that fabricating a custom frame built from IR-Transparent acrylic would allow the jammers to function perfectly while at the same time, concealing them in something that just looked like a factory component. It's a two-part assembly that is made from cast acrylic. It uses rare-earth magnets to hold the two sides together and hide the edges of the license plate. We'll get some photos of it on the car tomorrow, but here are the parts we built:

In order to get the plate frame to sit as flush to the car as possible, we did have to make some machined openings in the bumper behind the license plate(with the owner's approval of course). This is all hidden behind the factory plate mount should the car ever need to revert back to factory. We started by making a template from MDF and then using a plunge router to section out to correct parts. It was important to us that the openings look precision cut and not like someone just took a body saw to the car.

More soon!!!!

You need to sell a kit for us East Coast-ers. I’ll be the first in line!

This is next level! Wow! Ummm, would these work in Canada. Anyone used these technologies up here with our crazy laws?

I’m quite literally drooling over the innovative ways you have integrated the parts into the cars existing components

Sorry for the long delay on the finished photos. We're a bit overwhelmed at the shop right now finishing up some local projects before the holidays. I finally got the time this morning to edit the photos and get them all organized to share with everyone. I'll update the original post with some of these, but here's where we ended up – one section at a time:

Interior Components (Control Surfaces)

This is the results of our modified smoker's package. The top controller is for settings and adjustments to the AntiLaser Priority system. We're not a huge fan of the way this controller looks, so hiding it under the ash tray door was a perfect solution. The Escort controller is located directly below that and has a few more buttons for quick settings and mute/mark functions. We didn't want the ash tray door to be open the entire time the client drives the car, so we also converted two of the blank buttons in the console into MUTE and KILL functions for the radar and laser; respectively.

Interior Components (Display & Alerts)

The Escort system has an advanced OLED display that gives you a ton of useful information like signal strength, frequency, and direction of threat. Again, we decided to put that in a custom fabricated panel replacing the blank in the overhead console. The AL Priority system ONLY has an L.E.D.(well, plus the audible alerts) so we wanted to make sure it was somewhere in the direct field of view for the driver. If you remember from a few posts back, we put it and the Escort LED in the top of the column so that they would reflect in the cluster. The last photo here shows the green Escort LED(left) and the blue ALP one(right).

Exterior Components (Rear Radar & Laser)

Radar can easily pierce through plastic, as where Laser tech needs to have good line-of-sight to perform properly. The radar receiver in the back end of this GTS was installed behind the bumper cover just above the support. I explained the rear laser approach just a few posts back, but to recap, we fabricated a custom license plate frame using IR-Transparent material that allowed us to hide both of the laser jammers in plain sight. They sit just under a gloss black panel at the top of that assembly, which is the IR-transparent portion. That outer panel is also secured using rare-earth magnets, hiding all of the hardware for a clean look.

Exterior Components (Front Radar & Laser)

This was definitely the most involved aspect of the installation. On top of a large radar receiver, we needed to fit three full-size laser jammers without taking away from the factory design language of that beautiful sport design front bumper. The first step was to design a set of housings that would use the same IR-transparent material we used in the rear. Doing that allows us to move away from the racetrack-shaped jammers and into something that flows with the car. The body of the assemblies is built from cast acrylic and keeps in mind the angle and final positioning of the jammers. It's extremely important for these to be level and aligned properly with the road ahead. Once we had the core assemblies done, we painted the housings in a satin black and finished the facing with the gloss transparent material. The center housing was done in a similar fashion as a small doghouse style that sat at the top of the middle bumper cover provision.

Well, that's the end of it. A really fun project and we're really happy with the way everything turned out. Let us know what you all think!

Awesome OEM style stuff. Front and rear hidden jammers are the bomb.

Another work of art. I am sure you have a happy customer there!

Beautiful job, as always. You keep outdoing yourself!

Utterly amazing. The installation is a work of art. Nick, you and your team have always turned out very high quality items/installations, but this has to be right there at the top of the list.

Incredible work!
With a system like this, what capabilities (at a very general level) can one expect? Like, it beeps when it sees a radar gun in the distance being used so you can slow down? The radar gun is jammed so that even if someone uses it on you while on the freeway, it won't register a speed on the gun? Thanks in advance for entertaining such a noob question

There are no noob questions here. This is some pretty advanced technology so it takes some time to gain the knowledge. In a nutshell, you have two different technologies in use by police for speed acquisition – radar and laser. Radar is governed by the FCC, so jamming or scrambling that signal is federally illegal. Knowing that, our best defense is early and accurate warnings. With these systems, you'll get advanced warning(audible and visual) up to 2mi away depending on the terrain. Laser on the other hand is governed by the FDA(don't know why) and there are no federal laws in place. Since laser is a line-of-sight technology, our only defense is a good offense – laser jamming. The goal there is for the system to jam the signal long enough for you to reduce speed and shut down the jamming. There are a few states that have laws in place restricting the use of laser, but it's more of a "fit it ticket" than a real violation. Much better than reckless driving or speeding.

Hope that helps!

I see why you wanted a laser jammer kill switch outside the smoking package tray — I’m assuming here they once you are alerted to a laser signal and its being jammed, you want to unjam it (after slowing down) so law enforcement aren’t the wiser?

Also once my GT3 arrives I’m so driving down from Seattle for this.

Can you explain the Fix-It ticket for jammers. For license plates you have to show up with one installed. With jamers do you have to show up with it uninstalled??
